Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng recently concluded a significant three-day official visit to Russia, returning to Hanoi after a series of engagements aimed at boosting bilateral relations between the two nations. This visit coincided with the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit, an event celebrating 35 years of cooperative ties between ASEAN countries and Russia. The visit underscored Vietnam’s dedication to fostering closer diplomatic and economic partnerships with Russia.
In Kazan, the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng participated in pivotal summit sessions and business forums that provided a platform for dialogue and collaboration. Throughout his stay, he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other regional leaders, focusing on discussions that aimed to expand cooperation in key areas such as investment, energy, trade, technology, and industrial development. These discussions were crucial in laying the groundwork for future collaborations that could benefit both countries.
The Vietnamese delegation took the opportunity to engage with several prominent Russian organizations and businesses during the visit. This engagement included witnessing the signing of multiple cooperation agreements, which are expected to pave the way for enhanced economic and trade relations between the two nations. Additionally, the delegation participated in the launch of new direct flight routes connecting Vietnam and Russia, a move that is anticipated to bolster tourism and facilitate easier business travel between the countries.
