Vietnam, Japan Aim to Enhance Economic and Business Partnerships

Date:

As Vietnam celebrates its 81st National Day, the nation is looking to deepen its ties with Japan, focusing on a partnership that spans diplomacy, security, and economic collaboration. Both countries are motivated to enhance their comprehensive strategic partnership, recognizing the potential for mutual growth and regional stability.

Japanese Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu expressed Japan’s ambition to collaborate with Vietnam in building a prosperous future, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral relations. His message coincides with statements from Japanese Finance Minister Katayama Satsuki, who highlighted the evolving nature of cooperation between the two nations. She identified key areas for growth, such as finance, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, critical minerals, and energy.

Vietnam’s Ambassador to Japan, Pham Quang Hieu, echoed these sentiments, describing the current state of Vietnam-Japan relations as their strongest to date. He underscored the importance of cooperation in science and technology, innovation, and the digital transformation, all of which are pivotal to both nations’ economic security and development.

The partnership is further reinforced by efforts to enhance parliamentary exchanges and the significant presence of the Vietnamese community in Japan, which serves as a vital link in bolstering economic and social ties. Both countries continue to leverage their complementary economic strengths, fostering a relationship built on trust and shared goals.

As Vietnam and Japan chart a course toward deeper cooperation, they aim to harness their collective strengths in technology and skilled human resource development, contributing to a more stable and prosperous region. This ongoing collaboration reflects their commitment to addressing contemporary challenges and seizing new opportunities within the global landscape.
