In a bid to bolster bilateral relations, Vietnam and Russia are exploring expanded cooperation in human resource training and scientific research. These discussions were held during a meeting in Hanoi on October 7, where Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, engaged with a Russian delegation.

The focus of the talks was on leveraging Russia’s expertise in high technology to align with Vietnam’s developmental goals. Potential avenues for collaboration include joint research and training initiatives, as both nations recognize the critical role of human resource development in fostering long-term cooperation. The meeting aimed to enhance ties between educational and training institutions, facilitate expert exchanges, and implement joint engineering training programs.

Science and technology emerged as key areas of interest, with innovation, energy, and oil and gas identified as sectors ripe for further collaborative efforts. The dialogue underscored a shared commitment to deepening exchanges and creating more substantial partnerships in these fields.

By focusing on these strategic areas, Vietnam and Russia aim to develop more substantive cooperation, strengthening their relationship through education, technology, and strategic research. This initiative reflects broader efforts by both countries to align their strengths and needs, paving the way for future joint endeavors.
